To Mark and Family: I send my condolences to you, and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. A beautiful light was extinguished with Betty's passing. She was always so bright and happy. I'll always remember her that way. Saturday, November 23, 2013 |

Ann,
Your mother was such a lovely woman and I know how much she meant to you and your whole family. She will be deeply missed.
May you lean on your faith in God through these upcoming days and months to get you through this difficult time.
You, your dad and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mark and Family,
Paul, Michelle, Jennifer, and I send our love and blessings to all of you. As so many have already said, Betty was such a special lady and a beautiful example to every life she touched. Her comeback from the brain hemorrhage in the mid-1980's was amazing. I think her sense of humor was even sharper afterwards! Betty playfully set a group of us up at a girls' get-together when she said, "You know how I couldn't speak Spanish before my brain hemorrhage? Well, since then.........I still can't speak Spanish! That's when we knew our Betty was back with us! And for years since she has kept us charmed, informed and laughing. We will be flying out of Houston tomorrow to meet Jennifer and her family in DC and Virginia for this holiday week. While we are looking forward to a "colonial" Thanksgiving, we, at the same time, regret not being able to be with you in Beaumont and participate at Betty's Mass with the members of the EOHSJ. The memories of our investitures together in 2000 are still so fresh. Mark, you and your family will be on our minds and in our prayers intently in the coming days. May God hold you in the Palm of His Hand and may the Blessed Mother wrap you in the sweet comfort of her maternal mantle. Love and prayers, Carole and Paul
