Woodson E. Dryden
December 21, 1924 - November 18, 2013
Gene Marshall (Temple, TX)

As a young insurance adjuster in Beaumont I negotiated settlements with Woody's clients many times. He was always very kind and patient with me. Out of all the attorneys I have ever known Woody was and always will be the one that I respect the most in my 42 years working as an insurance adjuster.

I had the pleasure of working for Mr. Dryden from 1987 to 1994, and worked with Sheila during most of that time as well. My sympathy to all during this time. He gave me my first job in the legal field, and 26 years later I am still at it. Thank you for the opportunity Mr. Dryden. You will be missed!

My deepest condolences to the Dryden Family and Shelia. I had the privilege of working with him and Shelia many years ago. He was a wonderful boss whom was witty, comical and a stern lawyer.

Alan McNeill (Beaumont, TX)

Regret missing the tribute to Woody. I am in Houston with family. He was a certified member in good standing of the Center of All Knowledge. He hooked me many times on wagers and he always took my dollar. He said he would leave it in the casket and I could have it back. I wouldn't bet on that. We were fraternity brothers of different ages, practiced law for over 50 years and we will miss him.

Cousins Judith, Carol, Kim, Chrissy and Erich, I am thinking of you in this time of loss and I hope you will accept my apology for missing Uncle Woody's funeral. I will always remember him as the good dad he was to all of you, as well as a role model of commitment and excellence to the legal profession. He will be missed.
