Jimmie P. Cokinos
June 27, 1917 - November 5, 2013
Charles Wynkoop (Oak Harbor, WA)

I was in the second grade at Sally Curtis Elementary. Elizabeth Cokinos was in my class. Mr. Cokinos was mayor at that time and was beloved by all. To my surprise and I'm sure others, Mr. Cokinos came into the lunchroom during our lunch period and sat down at our table next to Elizabeth just to have lunch with her. We felt like we were with royalty, but soon realized that he was just a caring uncle that loved his niece enough to take time out of his busy schedule to go have lunch with her. The world has lost a true gem of a man. May God bless all of his family in their time of grief.

Mrs. Cokinos, Andre and Stacie - you have my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband and dad! This was such a beautiful and moving tribute to a very special man. I remember his always-ready smile, whether he was enjoying one of our pep rallies or being host to a group of kids. He had a unique gift of making people feel special. You were truly blessed to have your dad with you as long as you did. You're in my prayers.

Bonnie, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your children. Jimmy was a great man and was loved by a lot of people. Paul dearly loved Jimmy and looked up to him. May God give you comfort. I was out of town, so regretfully was not able to attend the funeral. Faye Prejean.
