Jeff was one of my closest friends for most of my adult life. I cherished his friendship because he was a loving and kind person and always thoughtful of others. I will miss him and he will be in my heart for the rest of my life. He knew how to rock n' roll with the best of them and his spirit will live on. He was my rock n' roll buddy with a great singing voice. Rock on Jeff!! Thursday, November 7, 2013 |

I only knew Jeff for a short time but he made a big impression! His family, friends, and loved ones will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as they face the days ahead.
Allow me to share these words from Henry Jackson van Dyke entitled: "There is No Death"
I am standing on the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her until at length she is a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says, "There! She's gone!"
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side, and she is just as able to bear her load of living weight to her destined harbor.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There! She's gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

Dear Jeff, No words can express the sorrow and emptiness around this plane without your presence. Your memory will keep my heart warm. Thank you for being a great friend to me all those years, having you in my life enriched it beyond knowing then, but I understand it now. you will be remembered and loved. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I do not remember meeting him, but from those who knew him , he must have been a wonderful son and man. I wish I had known him. If he was anything like the two of you I would have enjoyed knowing my cousin. My prayers go out for you and your family. Much love, David Thursday, November 7, 2013 |

Jeff was my best friend from the time I was old enough to remember til we were about 12 years old. We had so many good times on Dallas Street playing ball, riding bikes, camping out in the club house that Ellis built, building a spook house under your caport every halloween,or just playing until our parents called us in for supper. It was a sad day when you guys moved away. To the Thompson Family (Ellis, O Neita, Cathy, and Craig) I offer my deepest sympathy. I know we will see Jeff again one day because as a kid I know he accepted Jesus and returned to that commitment later in life. Jeff had one of the sweetest hearts of anyone I have ever known. Love you all.
