Charles "C. R." Richard Thurber
November 9, 1929 - September 26, 2013
Robin Van Sickle (Salado, TX)

Though I did not know C.R., I've known Richard for many years through our work together in hospice. There's no finer testimony to a way a man lived than to raise such a wonderful and loving son. My love and prayers go out to all of you, and together with my husband EJ and children Ellis and Campbell I pray that Our Lord grant you His grace and peace in this time of loss.

There are so few words for times like this. Uncle Richard will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Makes me wish I would have asked for one more round of playing carwash when I last saw him.

I had the pleasure of knowing C.R. and his excellent wood-working skills. I bought an antique table from Judy that came out of a Galveston orphanage. C.R. re-tooled the table legs so that the table would be at the appropriate heighth for adults. He will be missed. Blessings to his loved ones during their time of loss.
