Susan, I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. I have many childhood memories of her and the many times I enjoyed her cooking. She was always so good to a bunch of loud teenagers, which made your house the place to be. God bless- Kathy Tuesday, September 24, 2013 |

Dear Susan, I grieved for you today as you went about the funeral for your mother - as you called, her, your best friend. You were fortunate to have that best friend for that many years - but we somehow never get ready to give up our mothers. I looked at you and thought of your young face that I had seen so many times, and you are still beautiful. You are one of my "kids" and always will be. I thought of goofy things you and Kathy did; surely you were birds of a feather and you kept me in stitches a lot. I thought of you being tied in a chair, acting like a spastic, the evening Jim came for the first date with Kathy. You, and your mother, were very important parts of my life for years and I treasure those memories. I will pray for you as you go through this time, and the time of healing and the adjustment of living without your mother. I talked to Kathy this evening and she was glad that I could go this morning. She has many good memories of you, too, and your friendship. I am thankful that your mother was a Christian, and that we can look forward to spending eternity with her. I love you, Susan. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 |

Susan, I was saddened to learn of the death of your dear mother. She was always such a lovely and vibrant lady with a witty sense of humor. I fondly remember the great times our two families enjoyed together in our early years. May your loving memories of her comfort you at this sad time. Monday, September 23, 2013 |
