Harold and Ida Pearl were like my second parents when I moved to Beaumont in 1978. I worked in the Budget Services Dept. with Harold for three years and at Gulf States with him for 12 over-lapping years. Harold mentored me during my early years at Gulf States and was responsible for me umpiring baseball games and refereeing football games. I have very fond memories of the times I spent with Harold and Ida Pearl. It was nice to see the family and friends at the visitation on Monday. God Bless the LaFosse extended family during this time.

Harold kind of took me under his wing when I was a young 22 year-old accountant in the GSU Budget group in 1969. We worked together for several years and he and Ida were always good friends to my wife Becky and I. He will be greatly missed.
