Absire Family:
You are in my prayers and thoughts at this most difficult time. Popeye was a good person and well loved by all those who knew him. I know that he is in Heaven rejoicing in seeing his mom and brother again. He will be missed at home, in the community and his home away from home also known as AL T'S. Please look for God so that He can and will give you comfort and rest assured you will see him again some day and he will be glad to see you and greet you with opened arms at the River Jordon. Rest In Peace Popeye and so that you will know Popeye, AL T'S will never be the same.

Popeye and his daddy and me and my daddy and brother done some quail huntin' together many years ago and I will never forget the laughs and good times we had. He was a lotta fun to be around. He was also the man that was behind cookin' the VERY BEST steaks for many years at AL'Ts . NONE BETTER NOWHERE!!! Popeye was a good man that will be SORELY missed in our great town of Winnie!. Rest in Peace "Pye"

Popeye is going to be missed by many. The first thing I think about was the brown corvette he had many years ago with POPEYE on the license plate. I always thought he was the coolest. My prayers are with the family. Tommy if you need me you know how to get a hold of me. I love ya

There will never be anybody on this planet to ever compare to the original Al T's steak cooker. People all over the place drove to eat at Al Ts and many commented on how they have never had a better steak. I waited tables there and saw it with my own eyes, no doubt nobody could touch him. Popeye will be missed, one heck of a man! RIP
