What an honor to have been able to fill a desire of Edna Mae's to have me sing for her funeral service. I thank God that I was able to be there and do that.
Edna Mae was a lifetime favorite of mine. We visited often when I was growing up and I stayed with she and Ferdie several times "on vacation". We always enjoyed being together and I have many fond memories of she and all of my deVillier family in Winnie. In our later years, we visited at AL-T's on my many trips to Houston for medical care.
You will definitely be missed by so many, especially me. You are now receiving the rewards of a life time of service to your family, your church, community, but most importantly, your profound love and adoration for Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Rest in peace my love.

Sadness in the hearts of many today, as we prepare to say "au revoir" to a very special lady. She touched the lives of so many, just by her presence. Until we meet again, mon ami ...

Edna Mae was my second grade CCD teacher. As I got involved in the church in my adult years, I was able to connect with her on an adult level. She was a wonderful example of a christian and devoted Catholic. It was an honor to gain her respect and I learned many things by her example. Rest in peace Edna Mae - I know there was a grand party in heaven upon your arrival. Prayers from Austin for the family.
