Memories of our childhood and more innocent times are spinning through my head and heart. Ah Rufus, I loved our friendship and I loved you more than you knew. You made Jr. High and High School tolerable and most times even fun. to me you will always be 17, fun, beautiful, daring and most of all truly unique. I will never forget you Karen Ruth.* RUFUS*

Karen or Karen Ruth is what most knew her by, but for me she was "Rufus", "snaggle tooth", or "sis". I have three wonderful sisters, with Terry I learned love and compassion, with Anna I learned to be a protector, and Karen- well, she taught me some of life's most valuable lessons. Turn one foot in the direction you want to run before you slap a bull. Take the belt before grounding, and my favorite, take your licks, but never let them see you cry. Karen is my sister and I love her. We had our moments and disagreements as siblings, but every time Karen saw me she always had a smile and a hug for her Bubba. I miss her and I'm happy for her. Her struggles are over and peace is with her now. "There is a boogey man, but don't worry, there's also a God." I love you Rufus!     Love, Bubba
