Sydney was an enthusiastic and always happy friend to everyone. She was one of the best FHE leaders I've ever met at inspiring others and making them always feel welcome. She was truly someone who put the needs of others above her own through acts of service. She was also one of the best member-missionaries I have ever known. I pray that your family may feel of God's deep love for both Sydney and you all.

I remember being at Sydney's baptism. The Spirit was so very strong there. What a sweet and special person Sydney is. Our family is praying for you all.

My heart goes out to the Hathaway family. Katie was lucky to have had Sydney as a commander her freshman year in ROTC and thought and spoke so very highly of her. She said she was an amazing leader, amazing person with the brightest future. She also said Sydney was very spiritual so I know somewhere she is resting in the loving arms of our Lord.

I am shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Sydney. She was one of my enthusiastic and best students in the GE biology course. My heartfelt sympathies go to the family.

My dear friends, we are so saddened by your tragic loss. May you find a measure of comfort in the sure knowledge that you can all be together again. That sure knowledge is what sustained me when Angela was called back home. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. All our love, John and Cindy Short

Our prayers are with your family. There are no words that can express the sadness we feel and the concern for your family. The only comfort we have is in knowing that families can be together for eternity. We love you and offer our support in any way needed.

I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't really know Sydney all that well but when I talked to her a few times I began to notice she'd always have a smile on her face. During Sweet Charity if nobody understood anything she would help them. I know your ray of sunshine will be staring down at you all and keeping you safe with each passing day. Rest In Peace Sydney.
