Dear Peggy and Cook family, I am sad to hear about the passing of your dad.I had the pleasure of being around him at some of Ashleys birthday parties and at the Conways home. He was allways smiling and quiet,as I remember. I enjoyed looking at the pictures, I miss yall very much, especially Ashley. I know yall will miss your dad,husband,and grandpa very much. Hate to hear of the loss of great uncle Wayne, my deepest sympathy to the Cook family.

I will always remember Brother Wayne as a big man with a gentle soul from the very first time I met him in 1968. He was a lot like his mother as I recall. May the peace of the Lord be with you and give you grace Edna during your time of loss! To the Cook children, remember the good man that your father was and draw strengh from his memory. You all can be comforted in knowing that he is in the Lord's house and he is OK! God bless you all!

I have just called and told my Mom, "Pauline Oliver Birdwell", and she was in shock too. Our prayers are with you and your family in the coming days! We love you so much and thought so much of Wayne. Dear Cook family,
I am deeply saddened about the loss of Mr. Cook. I have had a respect and a friendship with Paw-Paw Cook that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The Cook family has been blessed with a GODLY father and someone who has been a blessing to me and my family for over 20 years. I miss him and know life is forever changed with his passing. I was deeply saddened to receive the news this morning of Mr. Cooks passing.I had the priviledge of meeting Wayne some 35 years ago and enjoyed many hours deer hunting and fishing with him.In the times we live in there aren't nearly enough genuine good people but Wayne was definitely a role model for all who were fortunate enough to know him.My deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Edna, Eddie,Bryan,Sharon and Peggy on your loss.
