We remember "Mr. Nelson" as the wonderful person who offered us milk fresh from the milk dispenser in the family kitchen! What a cool thing! The smile on his face as we relished in "serving ourselves" from the dispenser remains fast in our memory. Love to you all, Mary and Pat

I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to spend time with Kissy and PawPaw. From the time we entered their home you could feel the love and warmth. We are so grateful that our sweet Kate married Houston and is a part of the Nelson legacy. What an amazing man loved by a beautiful and devoted wife and blessed by all his talented and adoring children. God is welcoming him in and proclaiming "Great job my good and faithful son!"

We don't totally lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We hope you find comfort in knowing that your lives have been enriched by that special love. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. May the peace of Christ be always with you.

What an awesome man. The world needs more D R Nelsons. I loved sitting around hearing stories John Henry would tell me about his dad. He will be sorely missed on earth and greatly appreciated in heaven.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your father. When I saw that awesome picture of the entire family on face book it warmed my heart so much and thought why how wonderful that their parents are still here on earth with them.
