I HAVE ALWAYS CONSIDERED DAVID AS ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS. WE HAD MANY GOLFING EXPERIENCES OVER THE YEARS AND I ALWAYS ENVIED HIS SWING. I HAVE NEVER KNOWN A MAN I RESPECTED MORE. TOO BAD THE WORLD HAS NOT PRODUCED MORE DAVID NELSONS. I WILL MISS HIM. FELIX BURRUS

Dear Nelson Family,

I was sad to read that "paw paw" had died ....he will be truly missed. He was a special gift and I feel blessed to have known him. Celebrate his life and continue to share his stories and memories....love to all, Heidi Higgins Evans

I was so sorry to learn about Uncle David's death. He truly was an inspiration to me and all of my family! Not only was he a brave marine who fought and almost died for his country, he survived WWII to marry a beautiful, intelligent woman who gave him 11 amazing children. He also had a strong faith in God. We will all miss him dearly, but I know Mother, Aunt Pat, Aunt Mary, Uncle Jim, Gran & Grandfather Nelson are all celebrating his arrival.

My husband Paul joins me in extending our deepest sympathy to the family of David. He was such a fine man, and definitely an asset to the Beaumont Community. Although I had not seen him for some years, I haven't forgotten him.

May the family always remember that God loves us, he provided his son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins and for that reason, one day soon, God will end all suffering and death will be no more - John 3:16; Revelation 21:3, 4; Psalms 83:18. My deepest condolences.

You helped rear some of the greatest children on Earth, and thus, left a remarkable legacy! Vaya con Dios, Mr. Nelson!
