I remember going into Perry Brother's and seeing Mrs. Guynes working in the sewing area. She was a very nice and sweet lady and always had a kind word for everyone. God always picks the best flower for His bouquet and He saw that special flower in Mrs. Guynes. My prayers are with the family and friends of this dear sweet lady. God will see you all through this time and many days ahead. Keep the Faith.

I will always remember when I first met Mr. and Mrs Guynes. Its was in Oct.1969. I was looking for a house to rent for my Mother. My Father had received order to go to Vietnam. I was told of a house in Stowell that was possibly available for rent. My parents and I went to find it and they rented from Mr. and Mrs Guynes...So for many years I would see them at Perrys,or Pair Groc. Store. are at the Rice Festival Gospel Singing I would always be so happy to see them and they were always so happy to see me... We developed a close Friendship and bond that has lasted until now...I loved to visit with Helen after Mr. Guynes passed away. She was always so happy to see me.. We would sit in the kitchen and have coffee and visit it was always the same love for each other...She became like my other Mother after I lost my Mom in March 1988....My thoughts and Prayers are with her Daughter in Cleveland,Tx. and the rest of her Family..She loved you all so much.....She will be Missed by many here in Winnie.

We were honored to purchase Mrs. Guynes home from her several years ago. From the moment we met Mrs. Guynes, we felt a connection to her and our family fell in love with this precious lady. Our little girl immediately bonded with her and it was special to watch them together. Mrs. Guynes was so kind and generous. She would send our children birthday and Christmas cards after we moved into her old home and our hearts were always so touched that she would think of us. She was truly a blessing and it was such an honor to know her. We loved her very much. Our hearts are saddened to hear of her passing, however, we know that she is rejoicing with her husband that she loved so dearly, and spoke of often, as well as her Savior. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. Heaven is a little bit sweeter today, but she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of one sweet lady. Thinking of her takes me way back to the good old days in Stowell. I remember her from when I was a little girl. Prayers for the family.
