My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Alayna was always such a delight and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed.

Alayna was truly an Angel. She had the gift of encouragement and for those of us who became her friend, on the People's Forum and/or the Parotid People Group on Facebook, we could feel that she really cared about us. I was just new to the Forum in January 2012 and was unsure whether to proceed with Radiation Therapy after my Parotidectomy, and she told me that RAD was not a walk in the park, but it was doable and always remember that "this too shall pass". That encouragement gave me the courage to proceed with RAD and I was able to pass on her phrases of encouragement to others on the Forum and Facebook who were unsure about RAD. We will continue to pray for her family and ask The Holy Spirit for comfort and guidance in this time of grief. Alayna will be missed by all of us but we are comforted by knowing that she is absent from the body, and present with The Lord. Keep the faith. This too shall pass. Dick C.

Though we never met in person, Alayna and I talked each other through a lot. She was a wonderful woman of great faith, who comforted me when my cancer returned, and then I tried to offer words of comfort when hers returned. I know she loved her family and friends very much, especially her daughters.
I was looking over some messages from Alayna today - she gave lots of good advice - thought you all might appreciate this - "This is what I think we should do...Embrace the funk instead of running from it. Have a good day of funkiness, eat nothing but ben and jerry's, have a good cry and then move on. I am thinking if we just embrace it when we feel it coming on than we can move on more quickly...what do ya think of that...lol"
So, I broke out the ice cream and let the tears flow tonight. She will be missed.
Lisa

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

Keith, I'm extremely sorry for the loss of your wife. I can't imagine what it feels like to lose the love of your life but remember that God has a plan for you and your daughters. I have been praying for all of you to somehow find peace despite the extreme obstacles you've faced. I will continue to pray for you and your girls. May God bless you.

Keeping You Close In Thought; This comes to you with sympathy especially to say : So many warm and caring thoughts are there with you today. And may it somehow be a help and comfort just to know. How often you'll be thought of through the days that come and go. Our deepest sympathy, God Bless all of you!
