I have just learned about Kay's passing and feel such a deep, deep sadness. I worked with Kay for about four months in Beaumont a number of years ago. She was truly a wonderful, loving, and kind person. She could truly light up a room and was always so much fun. Johnny my prayers and thoughts are with you and all of the family.

Kay certainly knew the secret to living life to its fullest, being happy and bringing out the best in people, most of all Johnny. She faced her illness head on with the most positive attitude, her bravery amazes me. I will miss you blondie!!!

Kay was kind, witty, smart, friendly, and lovely. She was generous with her time and her heart. She was never negative, even with all she was going through. Amazing... Johnny, the care you gave her and the tenderness you showed her in your marriage and especially during her illness was beautiful. We will all miss her, but I know it will be nothing compared to the loss you and your family are feeling.

So sad to see such a lovely lady move on. She was my best friend during some turbulent years in Beaumont and we stayed friends for years afterwards. She had a big heart and cared about life, her friends and family. My most heart felt condolences...

I've known Kay since grade school, as well as the time we both worked for for GSU thirty years later. She is my friend, and I will miss her.
My heart goes out to her family during this difficult time.
With fond memories of Kay's life,
Paul

I knew Kathryn during a few short years in high school. What stood out to me was, the fact that Kay seemed to have that inner peace and was full of joy. She was a friend of everyone. Recently I saw her at the BHS class of 1966 reunion and she had not changed a bit, Still that friendly and fun person. I will miss seeing you around the area as will others I am sure of. You seemed to bring brightness.

Through laughter, tears, and just together in the quiet, we knew that we were destined to be friends. Now you have been called from us but not away from us - always in our hearts and only a quiet memory away. God bless you on your journey home.
