To the family of Nora Dean "Momma" Kilgore,
How do I start to tell you how much she meant to me as a loving carring woman, a woman of devout faith, a woman of such knowledge of our Catholic faith, a prayer warrior, a CCD teacher and then and R.C.I. A. teacher. She enjoyed taking all the classes the Diocese presented to continue to learn more on her faith too. Traveling to these classes and to Chrismatic confrences all over Texas and Louisiana.
Nora Dean blessed me with such love and joy, kindness and genuine friendship and helped me become a better Christian and Catholic too.
My regret is that I didn't visit her while in the hospital or nursing home because I kept thinking I would have more time with her. I know she forgives me and loves me still.
She is clapping her hands in the air and singing words of praise and glory to God in his highest.
I will miss her so much and I know there are so many people that are going to miss too.
Love ya momma, you have earned your wings and gentle peace with our Lord.
Sharon

Mrs. Kilgore,
It was a pleasure knowing & being by your side when you was scared in the hospital. Our lunch together was awesome & all of our visits I'll treasure forever. Gilbert & myself loved you as you loved us. I've never seen a woman of your age being able to work, drive, do your church duties, etc. not many I can say. Gilbert & myself was glad to have known you & all your beliefs in life. We would be better off if more people was like you. Not one ounce of hate for another person who wasn't the same as your skin color. We was so happy & shocked when we went to see you after heart surgery & you was sitting up eating. This will be our prayer together.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Four corners to my bed,
Four angels there a spread:
Two to my foot & two to my head,
And four to carry me when I'm dead.
If danger comes to me,
Sweet Jesus Christ deliver me.
And if I die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take. Amen.
We loved & will miss you so much our friend & Mother of the Church, you've done so much. Now rest your work her is done, & done with lots of love.
