In 1967, in my middle school art class, my path crossed All Gaytans and I fell in love with watercolors.I was googling his art work and saw he had passed. He magde such a huge impact on my artistic view that i never forgot him or his passion for watercolors. My condolences to all who loved him. Houston fan.

Al and I were 'art buddies' back in the days when I was an art professor at Lamar U. We had so much fun together at a variety of art events all around the Golden Triangle. His talent and personality personified the artist within him. He leaves a legacy of creations that will be enjoyed by all those fortunate enough to own one of his artworks. Best regards to all those who knew and loved him. Conn

Hoyt and I were so fortunate to know Al. We spent a lot of happy hours listening to his stories. His contributions to the Beaumont Community Players were enormous. His backdrops have never been equaled. He was wonderfully talented and full of fun. We will miss our friend. Deepest sympathy to his family.

You will be sorely missed! All of your stories, and the stories I heard from Dad - you are an amazing soul. I can't imagine all the cutting up and the transcendent colors with you and Frank on the other side. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Another talent of our art world has passed away. I am sure Al and Frank are together planning a lovely painting and have a cold one. Al was not one of my art teachers but I admired his work and wished often that I had the time to take classes from him. He will be missed.

Al was such a nice man and amazing artist! I think probably one of the most selfless individuals I have ever met. I am so glad I had the chance to meet him. His artistic legacy will continue and his spirit will live on forever. Miss you Al.

Good bye Uncle Al, I'm sorry we did not get to spend more time together. I will always remember you for your positive attitude. See you at the bar in heaven if I can pull you away from trying to pick up the waitress.

We only met a couple of times, but your sense of humor and wonderful stories left a lasting impression on our family. Thanks for being such a great brother to my grandpa, Uncle Al!

Our art friend will surely be missed. His mannerism in class, his sense of humor, he was so witty, his love of the arts we all appreciated. So long dear friend.
