I just learned of the passing of Mrs. Strube. She was a delightful teacher(Class of '72), and her class was a joy. My sympathy to all of her loved ones to heal from this loss, and emerge from it with only the beautiful memories she left to everyone she met.

Kent and Family: My mother informed me of your mom's passing. We always think that people like your mom will live forever. I'll always remember her as one of the neighborhood moms who treated all the kids as one of her own. Your mom and dad were great people whose values were to be respected and cherished. My family thinks of you and your family, often. Contact me at the e-mail listed if you get a chance. Again, many have lost by your moms passing. Will remember her in my prayers.

Dear Sharla,
I am moved and extend my deepest sympathy to you at the passing of yor mom, and recently, your dad. Inside of me are fond memories of you and your family. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, keep your heart and your mind in the Anointed One, Jesus. And whatever things are good, and pure, and perfect, and holy, and of a good report, noble, and praiseworthy, think on these things. You have a precious family and a precious heritage and legacy. My thoughts and my prayers are with you all in this season. You are so blessed.
-Keith

Oh my, what can I say. My heart hurts for all of the family. I still can't believe she is gone but I know she is happy to be with the love of her life and spend eternity in heaven with our Lord and Saviour. How I will miss our phone conversations and catching up on the lives of our children. I will miss you my dear friend and mother-in -law. God Bless. Betty Strube

Mrs. Strube was my Home Economics teacher at Port Neches-Groves High School in the 70's. She was such a sweet person and a wonderful teacher! Because of her influence I went on to major in Home Economics at Lamar University and the University of Texas, eventually gaining a Master's of Home Economics Education at Sam Houston State. I have taught for 30 years in Home Ec and Early Childhood Education (kindergarten). I am still teaching and consider myself blessed to have been one of her students. I was lucky to get to see her a few times in the past few years at Wildwood. My parents retired there and she and my mother were friends. I'm praying for your family and look forward to the day when I will meet her in heaven!
