JUST heard the news today, March 27th. Bro. Hebert was my first preacher whom we all loved with great affection and admiration. I so wished, I had known to have attended the services. I have always considered him to be "my preacher", after all these many years. Condolences to the family in your loss. We shall all be together again, and oh, what a day that shall be! Michael Franks- Former Newgulf Baptist Church member

Bro Hebert was my first preacher at Newgulf, and baptised me when I was 10. My (and my Mom's) condolences to the whole Hebert family. I will forever think of him every time I make shrimp gumbo using his recipe.

My sincere sympathy to Pat and the family on the passing of this wonderful man of the Lord. I first met Bro. Hebert and Pat when I was 12 years old and he pastored Calvary Baptist in Nederland. I had the pleasure of spending his last years with them as he pastored our church at Campground Baptist and then retired completely to the farm. He was one of the most pleasurable people to be around I've ever met. He was sincere in everything he did, whether it was preaching the gospel or just being your friend. I loved him dearly and will miss him so very much as we all will. God bless you Pat and your family. There is no doubt in my mind today where this precious man is and we'll be with him soon.

We learned only last evening of this giant's passing. I bet he is having coffee with my dad right now. Take care of your mom and please tell her we are sorry. Together they guided many families thru troubled waters & helped those same people learn to keep the main thing, the main. Every day they are in His service. God's peace.
