My deepest sympathies to all. I saw Sam at my father's memorial service just a few months ago. Such a kind and gentle person and my father thought the world of him. God Bless.

There are no words to express the sorrow I feel for the family of this kind gentle man. I met him a long time ago when I worked for some engineers. He always had a big smile and never met a stranger. I know that his girls will miss him so. I know that he is with his sweet wife and the Lord. God Bless all of you through this very sad time. Janie and Mandy McCullough (his provider)

Will miss Mr. Sam so very much. He has been a client of ours at Quality Care Services for many years. He was a pleasure to work for. Always had a smile for anyone he met. I know that his girls will miss him very much. Our sympathy is with his family.

When I first came to work for the Sabine Neches Navigation District I was ask to contact Sam and look over a property location we needed. From the first time I meet Sam I new I had a new friend. Over the next 10 or so years I always felt comfortable with Sam's knowledge. Not having his knowledge will be missed at the District, but most of all we will miss Sam's smile, friendship, and true intrest in the people of Jefferson County. To his family we sencerly regret Sam's passing, but cherish having know such a great man, friend and example of how to live life. Thanks Sam.

Only knew Sam for a few years, but easy to see from our first meeting, he was a special man. Truly appreciated his knowledge and personality.

I am certainly going to miss Sam Odd. We lived next door to each other during Beaumont High School days and were the closest of friends. Sam was a honest sincere person who would do anything for you. While either going to the beach or running Doc's boat, every trip was an adventure. Even Sam's shrimp boat had it days, starting with returning to the dock in Beaumont, killing the engine and crashing into an over-the-river outhouse, it was all great fun and Sam was at the center of it. Words will never describe how close a friend, " Lil Bit" was to so many people in this community or how knowledgable he was in his profession.
