I worked with Jim for a number of years at Stewart Title in Beaumont. He was such a joy to work with; happy, a little mischevious, but always with that big beautiful smile! Jim's devotion to Sandy and his children was always evident in my conversations with him. He will be missed, but fondly remembered.

We were all saddened at the news of Jim's passing. He always had a warm smile and a huge hug for everyone. He loved his family & friends and was a servant to his community.

Sandy & Family,
I was very sad to learn of Jim's passing. Our Sons played baseball together at Evening Optimist many years ago. Usually saw him every year at the Fair or Rodeo. Any YMBL function will not be the same without seeing his face. You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers for strength in the days ahead. Another French Buffalo gone to soon, Rest in Peace.

To Sandy and the Ferrell Families

Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
He cut such a wide path, many were touched by his involvements in this area.

I've had Jim (Jimbo) Ferrell as a friend and teamate in my life since 1965 and it's been extraordiarily fun and rewarding.
He was a competitor and always gave his best effort in contests that really counted.

You never had to worry about where you stood with Jim - he was straight shooter and honest to a fault - with the exception of later life embellishment of some of our deeds and misdeeds as rowdy youths. Second thought maybe there wasn't that much embellishment.

He had a good word for everybody and was very giving person in all the ways count for something.

Jim loved his family and never passed on an opportunity to
share stories about family members and their succeses. He
outkicked his coverage when he married Sandy and he knew it - thought he was luckiest guy around with a beautiful loving wife and children and grandchildren.

I'm gonna miss Jim's cheese and jalepeno' sausage at the BFB every year.

I promise to walk around with good memories and a smile on my face as I think about Jim and the ways he touched my life - they were all good and I'm sure everybody else who had the honor of knowing him feels the same way.

I hope the celebration of his life on Thuursday is a joyful time.

That's the way he'd want it.

Ferrell in my life since 1965 and it was a great and there is not greater honor

Jim graduated French High School in 1970 and I Beaumont High in 1970. We have been friends every since. He could always make someone feel welcome when they walked into a room with his smile. We we're the same height 6' 3" so I could look him eye to eye and shake hands. What a great guy!
