I WAS SADDENED TO READ ABOUT THE RECENT PASSING OF MRS. SMITHEY. SHE WAS ONE OF MY TEACHERS AT PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HER GENTLE SMILE AND KIND WORDS SHE GAVE US ALL. THANK YOU, MRS. SMITHEY FOR TEACHING ALL US AND GIVING US THE SENSE THAT YOU CARED AND LOVED EACH ONE OF US-- WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

John Earl and Jane, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom was so special. I remember so many special summers and froze grapes! And special music! She was an awesome lady and I know you will miss her dearly. You are all in my prayers.

Mrs. Smithey was a wonderful beloved person. She was a friend of my mother who taught with her for many yers at Pine Forest Elementary. She was one of my teachers and it took me many years to realize all that she taught me while I was her student. I will never forget Mrs. Smithey.
