Dear Mrs. Kelley, I just noticed Mr. Jim's passing while looking for Mary Hargraves' obituary. I received some pictures from her family of Mom and Dad from a long time ago with a note of her passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I always had a great respect for Mr. J and enjoyed his company. I still remember good times at our farm chasing those crazy Angus. I am eternally grateful for both your help with Mom. Love, Ronnie.

It was a joy to study agriculture under Mr. Kelly during my sophmore year in highschool (1978) He was an inspiration to us nurturing a love for the agricultural traditions of America as well as teaching us a great respect for the FFA. He often reminded us that as members of the FFA our actions would reflect on that organization no matter where we were. He also encouraged in us a desire to be our very best in whatever career options we might choose. I looked forward to his classes everyday. He was a Christian gentleman. I am also thankful for his answer to the call or the USA in her great time of need. God bless you all.

I was saddened to learn of Mr. Kelley's death. My sympathy is sent to Mrs. Kelley and all the family. After so many years, I am glad that we were able to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Kelley at the Methodist Conference in Houston where my husband was ordained.

Many memories from the couple of years at KHS and Jimbo's AG class... from his welding shop on one side, into the class room to hone our Robert's Rules of Order for conducting a meeting properly, and the single Meat Judging contest at Sam Houston University. Thanks for your patience in dealing with the daily dose of knuckleheads you were charged with. Rest In Peace Mr. Kelley.

Mr. Kelley was my AG teacher at Kountze High School . Many times he came out to our home to help me with my steers back in the seventies. He was a gracious and giving person.
