Our hearts and prayers go out to all Melissa's family and friends, and especially to her beautiful daughter Ali, May you find comfort in knowing how much Melissa was loved by all those who knew her. When our daughters were playing soccer together, I always looked for Melissa so I could sit near her to watch games and practices. I loved talking with her and I admired so much her dedication and love for her daughter. She will be greatly missed. Cindy and Micah Lockwood

To my little cousin that is now looking down upon all of us with that big smile, may you be at peace & comfort. May the entire family, especially Aunt Dot/Uncle George, remember all of the good times they shared with you. I will always remember your contagious smile along with your laugh. Until we meet again, Y.B.I.C.

Melissa touched my heart the first time I met her because she made my brother, Gilbert, so happy! She was an amazing lady. God planned for all who came in contact with Melissa to know what love, hope, happiness, and caring is all about. She blessed many people and I'm so happy she came into my life for such a short time. You will be missed Melissa, but thank you for the laughter you shared! Love ya sister in Christ, Barbara Schwertner Zimmerman

Words can not express the sympathy that I have for your family. Melissa was such a sweet person. When she spoke of Allison you could tell how much she loved being a mom. My prayers go out to all of you at this time of sorrow.

Dear Allisson, Peery and Laughlin families. Totally lost for words, so I'll just say that Melissa was the face I always looked for in a crowd, the smile I hoped to find, and the person I hoped I could find an empty seat next to. I will miss her dearly and will be praying that you find peace and comfort knowing that she is with our heavenly father watching and smiling over us all. Dan, Nina, Emily and Alex
