I am so sorry to hear about this. She will be greatly missed. Lena, tell Mom good-bye for us and that we loved her!

All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers in the days to come. May God be with you all, your Mom is well now and rejoicing her life in eternity! She will always be in your hearts! She was always so sweet to us when we would go into the store. Dad would always go get the morning paper. Rick & I loved our childhood on the Bayou wouldn't trade those days for anything in the world running around with Robert, Rick, Shirley, Nita, & Johnny! Bless you all!

I was so sorry to hear of your loss and will keeping all of you in my prayers. I know that we are never really ready to lose our parents and that even though she had been sick it is hard to let go but she is in a better place now. Lena, I know this has been so hard for you and I hope you will find comfort in the thought that you did everything you could for her during this last long, hard journey of hers. I know how hard it is to lose your Mother and pray for you during the coming year. The pain does ease with time but her memory will not fade.

I have admired the Bordes family over the years for the closeness that they shared as a family and the warmth they shared with friends. Mrs. Bordes was a kind and wonderful lady with a beautiful smile. She exemplified strength and a will to live life to the fullest. Having been such a close neighbor over the years, I will miss her and think of her as I turn the corner on Garner Road to go to my home. It is hard to imagine her not being "just down the road".

I felt especially close to Mrs. Bordes because Lena and I were classmates and friends. We have both been caretakers for a number of years. I know life will be different for all of you and you are in my prayers. Love, Sandra
