Dear Family and Fellow Friends: Charlie and I met in 1969 when I was a cub engineer at the Mobil Refinery. Over many years, we became good friends with mutual respect for one another both professionally and personally. Frankly, he taught me a lot. He was truly a gentleman with a positive attitude about life even when his eye site failed him badly and life got tougher due to the loss of his wife and many long term friends.
He called me every time he discovered some article about Petrocon, ENGlobal and finally Burrow Global just to see what I had planned next. I was able to visit with him some at his apartment during the last two years and each time we were thrilled to catch up with each other. On the next to last visit I had with him, we were able to call and speak with Jack Humble, whom we had both worked for and later with at Mobil and whom we both respected and called "friend". Jack passed away shortly after our call. Bet those two are having a great reunion right now. I don't think Heaven is anything but perfect but if there were any flaws, those two could fix it in no time.
To the family, my prayers are with you. It should be comforting to know that Charlie lived a long and successful life and had many friends who respected him for the kind of person he was. May God bless you as I know he is blessing Charlie right now.
With best wishes for your comfort at this time, Mike Burrow

Dear Liz and Happy, I will always remember Uncle Charles for his humor, teasing, sweetness and fun spirit. Your parents were truly soul mates.
I remember one time Jimmy and I visited and learned Uncle Charles had just built his own television set! He could do anything.

Hi Liz and Happy, Nancy and I wish to extend our sincere sympathy to you and your families on the passing of Charley. Charley was surely the nicest and most respected person I knew at Mobil. I worked for him and with him for most of my career and we never had a cross word. He was an Enginneers - Engineer and made us all proud to be in his company. In more recent times I made a habit of looking him up anytime we came to Beaumont. He was always upbeat and eager to pass on news of our old retired Magnolia buddies. I can't tell you how much I'm going to miss him. May God's grace be with you both, John Gray
