Tommy was one of the finest men I have ever known. Friendly to all, he made you feel at ease with a big smile and a warm handshake, which almost always led to a most interesting conversations laced with humor. He will be missed by a host of family and friends, among them many in Georgia.

Oh, Lord,
One of my heroes came to see you the other day. He is a kind and gracious man in every way. His heart is as big as one could be. He always had time for you and me. His time on earth was made for care and giving. Always one concerned in the way of living. He once told me something that makes him one of the best: Son, help who you can and appreciate the rest. These words have lived with me all these years. I think they have helped me through all the joys and tears. He leaves behind him a legacy, as you can see, Of compassion, helpfulness, sorrow and glee. Oh, Lord, keep this man, a hero of mine, Beside You for the rest of time. I will be always thankful for the time he spent with me. The wisdom and happiness He had for all to see. I will keep on living the best that I can Because he will always be with me as a memory of a great man.

We send our thoughts and prayers to the whole family. We have very fond memories dating way back when our "kids" played sports together for Lumberton High School and back even further when Bo and Gordie coached Little League together. God bless all of you!
