I was Mrs. Shear's Pest Control lady for over 20 years. I was at her house every three months, and always looked forward to seeing her cheerful face. It was a blessing to have known such a wonderful lady. I still have the little red bird you gave me years ago. Rest in peace with your Hooks, and Sherry. Prayers go out to the family that she loved so very much and talked of everytime I was there. God Bless.

What a blessing it was to have met Ma'am! She had the gift of making you feel warm and welcome the minute you met her. Spending time with her made Julie's wonderfully sweet and loving stories come to life, just as Ma'am brought life to others. It was a joy to be in her presence, experience her love of life, of family (especially Sam :-) ),of friends and hear HER stories! We should all be so lucky to have such a mutually devoted and loving relationship as Julie and her Ma'am, and Ma'am with her Savior!

Rack Shear was a wonderfully special lady who gave joy, happiness, and Christian love to so many........young and old.....making all of us better persons. Her smile radiated. Her kind and quick wit was great fun to be around. Her cheerfulness was always upliftingly contagious. Her deep faith, brilliant knowledge of the Bible and medicine, her keen insight and wisdom will definitely be missed by all of us.

Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of knowing Ma'am, as my dear friend Julie lovingly referred to her grandmother, but feel like I knew her from listening to all Julie's stories! Her remarkable spirit and zest for life live on in Julie as a tribute to her grandmother. My deepest sympathy to all of the family, and may they all find comfort in their fond memories of Ma'am! She clearly lived a very full and rewarding life!

Julie, I know this is such a hard time for you because she was your favorite person. You have so many wonderful memories of times you shared with her. Remember she still with you, by your side today and for always.
Love, Michelle & Albert

I am so grateful that I had the pleasure of knowing this lovely woman. She had class and was full of grace, not to mention a beautiful lady inside and out. She will be horribly missed and I know that her sweet Julie will carry on many of her habits and sayings so that she will be forever in our hearts. I miss her horribly but know that she is up in heaven happy to see all her friends.

Ma'am was the most beautiful grandmother to Julie and lovely mom to my adopted Aunt Jo. I had the pleasure of hosting a holiday dinner at my home with Rack as an honored guest. She was so graceful, so full of joy. Your legacy carries on dear Ma'am. I call her Ma'am because Julie called her that. It seems the impeccable manners she instilled in Julie from a young age lead Julie to say "yes ma'am" quite often and it just stuck!
