So fortunate to call Bill my friend...

heaven has received a very special person, Bill's contribution to this world will be greatly missed. may God hold his family close to his heart at this time to comfort them. knowing Bill is gone from sight but will forever be remembered in all the hearts he touched God bless his family and friends to ease their sorrow

Bill will be truly missed by so many, that he touched their lives in so many ways. He always had a smile on his face and joke to tell about Boudreaux. He made every event seem so special and spoke with everyone like he was their best friend.
Praying for his family and knowing that God has a special place in Heaven for him and that we'll get to see him again some day in the
bigger studio above.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers our with his family and his Channel Six family. He was a very well liked person by all that knew him on camera and off camera.

We find words hard to express -- we are so very sad! Bill was one of the "good guys." Not only was he an exceptional news reporter, he truly cared about people. He was the kind of man you would want to be a part of your family. We will always remember the Mardi Gras parties and the Tracy Byrd events -- what fun we had! We know that Bill is with his Lord in his Eternal Home. We pray for peace and comfort to surround Tecoo, Tatum, Tori and Bill's family and friends. We send our love!

We are deeply saddend to hear about Bill. We have been neighbors for about 9 years now, along with his Aunt Rita also, and we just wanted you to know that your family is in our prayers during this difficult time. Bill would always smile and waved as he drove by our house or when we would pass each other in our Jeeps coming and going out of the neighborhood. Prayers for your entire family and to the KFDM family also.

To the Leger Family,
I did not know Mr. Leger personally although I felt like I did. The way Mr. Leger and all of the news anchors at KFDM put themselves out there to the public, made me feel like part of his (their) family. They are such a personable team. My heart and prayers goes out to all of his family. May God be with you and keep you strong during this difficult time.

Dear Leger Family: You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I lived in Beaumont all my life until 1999, when I got married and moved to Dallas, Tx. I have seen Bill on TV and followed him on the news there ever since. It's like you see this person on the news reporting it so much and so often that they become apart of your family every night. I came home for the holidays Sat. Dec.22, 2012 to visit and was awaken with the terrible news of Bill on Sunday morning on Facebook. My heart goes out to your family. I will keep you all in my prayers and know we are sadden as well because I feel we have lost a family member we won't see again on the news every night and some mornings. But know we will see again in Glory.
