First off my heart goes out to everyone that knew him & loved him. What a dedicated man he was! Heaven needed someone like him even though its hard to understand & accept the death of man that had so much more to do in this life. I pray for his wife & girls as I know how difficult it will be to get through this. Bill you will be missed & your smile will live on in our hearts & minds forever! U took care of us as s community & now its time for Jesus to take care of you! WE LOVE YOU BILL

What a terrible shock it was to learn of Mr. Leger's death. As a regular viewer of Channel Six News, I miss his reassuring presence. I send my deepest sympathy to Mr. Leger's family. So many of us cherished your loved one. We are thankful that he lived and heartbroken that his time was cut so short.

Bill Leger moved to Kinder when we were in the 9th grade and he and I were very close friends from then until his death on December 21, 2012. I could always pick up the phone and call Bill if I needed a word of encouragement. Bill always new the right things to say and I'm so proud to have had a friend like Bill Leger. I have so many great memories growing up with Bill and he will truly be missed. What a blessing to have been such great friends with a wonderful, caring man. RIP my friend.

I first Met Bill when he was working a news project in Beaumont. He has always had such a Zest for life. And he has made a difference in the Golden Triangle for sure: I am sure that he is looking down on the Golden Triangle right now saying its been fun folks but its time to move on to my new assignment in heaven: I know that he would be so glad that his ratings are wonderful right now ! ( HIS SENSE OF HUMOR)

All my best !
