Grandma was the most patient person I knew and I never saw her upset. She would let me sit on her lap while she sewed and she would spend hours playing board games with us. She would take us to the library as often as we wished and would let us crawl into bed with her to read until we were tired. She instilled in me a love of reading, a love of arts and crafts, and a love for dogs. We would go for long walks and would spend many days at the pool, where she helped teach us to swim. I will always remember how she unselfishly gave her time to others, letting us tag along as she volunteered at the church or visited different friends and family in need. I can still hear her humming a song in the car. I can still see the way she would chuckle with her mouth closed and eyes sparking. These are just a few of the memories of my dear Grandma that I will cherish forever.
