My sincere condolences to the family of Gary Guye. Gary was one of my favorite fellas at GSU for many years. I spent many Saturday evenings at his Auction House on Broadway hoping to find a 'treasure' I could afford. For more than 50 years I have enjoyed memories of Gary whenever I look at those treasures in my home.

Laura and family,
We were sad to hear of your loss. Gary was my first boss at GSU and I have fond memories of him. He was a great boss and better yet, a great person that made my life better by knowing him.

Laura,
I was your next door neighbor in Beaumont, and got the opportunity to see Gary at the annual school conventions. Getting to "catch up" with Gary each year was always a highlight of the conference for me. He enjoyed telling me about his family every time I saw him. I didn't get to see him often but his love of his family, friends, community, and the kids of HJ always came through. My prayers are with you....I will miss him.

Laura and family, Teddy and I were saddened to hear this news about Gary. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Even though it has been years since I last saw and spoke with Gary I still fondly recall the years that we worked together at GSU. He was a fine man. A man of character--a rare trait these days. He was the kind of person that you want to get to know and to be around.

Dear Guye Family,
Our hearts are broken with the loss of one of the most loving, caring men that we have ever had the priviledge of knowing! There are so many wonderful memories of Gary...Mission Trips, trips to Sam's, Cooking, Basket Auctions, all the thoughtful things he did for our Mom and Dad, and the list goes on and on! I will forever cherish the graduation pictures of Gary handing Hunter and Andrea their diplomas! We are praying for all of you and asking God to wrap His loving arms of comfort around you. We love each of you and we know Gary and our daddy's ( Luke's and mine) are all having a great reunion! All our love, Luke, Sue, Hunter and Andrea Jones

So very sorry to hear of Gary's death, we will always have good memories of his kindness. He was an exemplary school board member, always concerned about the well being of Hardin-Jefferson ISD, this is a great loss to his many friends and family and the H-J community.
