My Dearest Dad (POPPA).

A Man of Great Stature and Admiration,
Who Served his Lord, Country and Family
with Unwavering Love and Admiration.

In celebration of your life:
* You were a strong believer in our Savior the Lord Jesus
Christ.
You read your Bible daily until diagnosed with that
dreadful disease Alzheimer's, But with Gods help you
continued to witness to, and pray for others.
You were always optimistic, and saw the positive aspect
of life.

* You proudly served your Country in the United States
Army.

* Your Pride and Joy was your Family!
You were always a gentle soul. You worked hard to
provide a wonderful life for you family.
You stressed the importance of an education, and to
always keep God first in our lives.

* You enjoyed the company of family and friends.
Singing, laughing, and telling jokes.
You loved to camp, fish, hunt, travel, and thought you
could fix anything. ( And sometimes could.) haha

* You never met a stranger. You could talk to Anyone, and
Everyone was your friend.

Those of us left behind are heartbroken, but, are extremely honored and proud to have been a part of your life. You are fondly remembered for your remarkable affability, humble intelligence, outrageous humor, unwavering integrity, tireless service to your church, and devotion to your family.
Poppa, You will always be Loved and Dearly Missed!

For death is no more than a Turning of Us from Time to Eternity.

Your Loving Daughter

You are finally at Peace, Walking the Streets of Gold, Talking with Jesus. It brings to mind the song Have a Little Talk with Jesus, Let Us Tell Him All About Our Troubles.. Today You finally are free of your troubles. No more sickness. No More Pain. Just Rejoicing with the Angels. Seeing Daddy, Grandma, Gib.. What a reunion! You will be missed but I would not wish for you to still be here, trapped in your darkness. I know that we will All be together again and I look forward to that day. I love you Pawpaw. Give Grandma a Kiss and tell her about the boys. Tell Daddy he left too soon but I'm not mad. I know he is in a much better place but Me and the Boys miss him so much.

Daddy, words can never express just how much I loved you. All the times you stood by me, good or bad, I could count on you. I will miss our "fried" corn bread and "turnip green soup." Our travels up and down the road, but the day you gave us our "inheritance" early to build our homes just so you could share with us the memories. How many "REAL PARENTS" do that? You were and are the
best!!!!
