Dear family of Russ,
I had the pleasure of knowing Russ during his Nalco years at Chevron Phillips Cedar Bayou facility. Prayed for the family and beloved son "Max" during his illness and talked with Russ about his faith in that situation. His strength inspired me to later draw on deep wells of my own faith to persevere a similar experience. Russ was a great man and wonderful person. May the Lord grant His Peace that passes understanding upon you all as you move forward without him.
Respectfully, Greg Shaffer

Russ, Peace be with you friend. You managed the "black bean" as you say with such dignity and courage. Though brief I will miss our friendship.
Leigh, We wish you and the kids all the best.

Leigh.... I'm so sorry. I know there are times in your life when you just wonder, 'Why me?' There is no answer. At least not one that makes you feel better. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please know that you are being thought of by many, many people. I hope you can feel all of our prayers lifting you up. Let us be strong for you during these hard times.

Kimball family, I had the pleasure of knowing Russ for many years. He was a pleasure to be around and truly loved his family and friends tremendously. We had many discussions about his family, friends, occupation and hobbies. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. May god wrap his arms around the entire family and give them the strength they need at this trying time.
