Jessamine Lou Birdwell Parris

Lou was a beautiful person inside and out. I will miss her dearly but know that she is in a better place.

Lou will be remembered for her smile, her caring and her kindness. She was special. When you were with her your life was always a little brighter, your day a little better. We are all fortunate for having "grown up with Lou". She will be missed.

Lou was a sweet, kind, intelligent classmate in high school and loved seeing her at reunions. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Always upbeat, always that beautiful smile, always a good friend! You will be missed Lou...

Lou and I have been friends for a long time and shared a love of good times, good food, tennis and Galveston. I will miss her, even as I know she is in a better place and not suffering any more.

I am afraid once I get started I won't be able to stop. Lou,Tom Weed, George Wheelus and myself sat at the same table in the first grade at Averill school. She spelled my name for me in the first grade until I got the hang of it. We have been best of friends for 71 years! She was the God mother of my first born. I was in her wedding in the 50's. She was more like my sister than my good friend. I am so glad she has been freed from pain and confusion and is at peace. I will miss her terribly.

A treasured friendship with a significant lady as a wife, mother, professional, and community volunteer. She was interesting, brilliant, and fun to be with. So glad our paths crossed later in life.
