I worked with John in Angola for about 18 months.
It was a great shock to me when I heard of his passing away.
He was one of the good guys and always brought a smile to the day he will be sadly missed.

Deeply saddened to hear the news that John had passed away. Many a great night was had with John outside the accomodation in Angola, listening to his stories over a beer or three. John will be missed but not fogotten. My condolences to John's family!

I am still too dumbfounded for words.
