Let me start by saying I'm a special Ed Aide in Lifeskills and have been for 18 years, at Vincent. I worked when Mrs. Morse was here before, but what really endeared her to me was the time she spent with us this time. She would come into our room on a weekly bases, to see what the kids where doing, and encourage us. What really endeared her to me was the fact that she really cared about us and the kids and she didn't stop with just words she put her own money there too. She donate a large sum of money to our account for the kids, we were raiseing money by baking cupcakes and making beaded laynards to sell. In all my years of service I've never experianced generosity like that ever. Thank you Mrs. Morse for believing in us and helping.

Dear Rachel,
Know that you, Morgan and your family are in my prayers. I met your mom while you and I were at St. Es. She would have been someone I would have wanted to know better. I am so sorry for your loss. Take care and know that I am a phone call away if you need me.
Love you kiddo,
Becky

I would like to express my heartfelt condolences in the passing of Rachel. I only just found out about her death after church today. It seems surreal that she is no longer with us. Only a couple of weeks ago I had a wonderful visit with her
and she seemed in the peak of health. Rachel and I worked together for a number of years at Vincent M.S., and I consider her to be one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

No one who knew her can help but feel the loss and share the pain it has brought to you, her family. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Family was THE most important part of her life. You, her children and grandchildren, are blessed beyond belief to have had her in your lives. I know her passing has left a huge void in your lives, but you have the assurance that you will see her in Heaven. I hope you find comfort in that knowledge. God bless you each in the way you individually need His healing.

Dearest Debbie, Phyllis, Al, Rachel, Frank, Patricia, Freddie, Richard, Michael, Madison, Morgan, Brooke, Julia, Joseph, and Benjamin...

It''s late Tuesday evening and I only just learned that Rachel is no longer with us. Because it has only been about three weeks since last I saw her, and because she was such a vibrant, healthy, and active woman, her passing has completely taken me by surprise. I find myself in a combined state of sadness, shock, confusion, and loss. And this is further compounded by the loss of my own father, who too passed away only just over two months ago.

Though Rachel and I occasionally had our differences of opinion, I loved and respected her as well as considered her a dear and trusted friend and confidant to me during the years she was married to my father. And because family meant the world to her, she took it upon herself to help my father to better understand and engage with both me and my sister as well as make amends with my mother. For this, I am eteranally grateful.

Rachel was a kind and brave soul. She engaged her life and her career as an educator with passion (which I greatly admired), she loved my father dearly and was a compassionate care giver him when his health began to fail him, and she always spoke of her daughters, sons, and grandchildren with pride, affection, and love.

I am going to miss her...

With that said, please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. And know that, if ever any of you wish to contact me and talk, or if you find yourselves in New Orleans and would like to meet, it would be a great pleasure to have the opportunity to meet and share stories about the lives of our loved ones.

Sincerely,
Craig Morse

I want to extend our condolences from the Sabine Oaks Retirement Home Board of Dirctors. Rachel was the previous President and convinced me to replace her. As all of you know, that was impossible to do but she has been extremely supportive and an absolute delight. She will be sorely missed by all of us on the Board and as a friend. She helped me thru several personal issues and guided me see to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We will keep Rachel and her family in our hearts and prayers during and after this difficult time.

Peace to all.

To all of her family: I can't tell you how shocked I was to learn of her death. We would have been there if we had known. I loved Rachel as a sister and as my brother Martin's wife. She was a blessing to him for 20 years. I loved her so much for all she did for him and his children. She is truly a woman who lived her faith and loved life to the fullest. She loved all of her students and fellow teachers. I will miss her so much.

Rachel and Alan came into my life through my husband Craig Morse .

I loved her instantly. We had much in common and she was a great inspiration to me to forge ahead with my mission of fighting for justice and human rights for all.

I regret the years we will not be able to spend together. She was an amazing person who had the ability to connect with people she met in a powerful and heartfelt manner.

My deepest sympathy and condolences go out to all her friends and family where ever they may be throughout the world.

May you rest in peace dear Rachel, and enjoy your reunion with your beloved husband Alan. I miss you both :-)
