Lots of Laughter, Giant Toothy Grin, Big Bear Hugs Signatures of my Uncle Nooksie. I'll miss all your stories of tearing up the town with my Pawpaw and the trouble you two would create trying to pull one over on your Big Sis! Now that you're back with your Boys, y'all are tearing up the clouds up there in Heaven. Lots of Love and Kisses

My Dad died Monday the 8th of October 2012. He was a good guy. He always took care of us and for that I am grateful. I know we always loved each other, even when we hated each other. Maybe especially at those times. Fathers and Sons are not always such good company. At the end of the day we were friends and for that I am also grateful.
My Dad, Raymond Richard Goynes, had been sick for some time and I’m thinking he’d decided enough was enough. His passing is undoubtedly a blessing for him. I cannot describe what it’s like for me. It changes by the minute. I’m crying, then laughing. One minute stoic and the next I am in pieces.
Truth is I am a very lucky fella. I have a Mom and a Dad, brothers, sisters; a host of friends who wish me well. There were times when I thought my life was a curse. At this moment, in time, I know my life is a blessing. I will suit up and show up, as they say…
Thanks everyone for your good wishes.
My Dad was 82 years old and a Marine, but mostly he was my Dad.
