Dear Mrs. Steed, Sammy, Mandy and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Steed. He was such a kind and friendly man. I can still remember him working in your yard in Beaumont:). It was always so beautiful. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. May our sweet Lord and Savior cover you all in his peace.

In Christ,

It has been a while since I have had any contact with Mr. Steed...but many years ago he was responsible for Some Other Place getting our first vehicle to use for picking up donations. It was a white, green and blue SWBT van. We drove it with pride until we decided to have it painted not knowing that the gentleman who offered to paint it...painted it with a paint brush...We had it painted gray and Lynn and I used to joke about the old gray mare...she ain't what she used to be. We had a lot of laughs about that van but what a Godsend it was to our work and what a Godsend Lynn was to Some Other Place. I was so sorry to read of his death. He was a very nice and a really fun guy. He will be missed by all who knew him. Please know that you have been in my prayers. May God be with you...Paula O'Neal

Kip and Family -- I didn't personally know your Dad, but most anyone with the phone company in the Houston/Beaumont area certainly knew his name. He was such a well respected member of the SWB/AT&T family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure to get to know Lynn while working in his district in the late 70's. He always impressed me as a good manager, but even more than that as a person of integrity, honesty and genuine good will towards everyone. I was lucky to have met Lynn and his memory will live for a long, long time.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. I recently lost my Mom and know just how hard it is at a time like this.

"Paw" as we all knew him will be greatly missed. I am so glad that he claimed me as one of his "extra" daughters. I loved how he picked on me and his sense of humor was wonderful. "Paw" set the bar high and his standards were high for which we respected him so much. He loved his family -wife, children and grandchildren so much. He will leave a hole in our hearts but many memories we cherish. Tommy and I love you all and are praying for you.

Dear Steed Family. Our condolences to you all and prayers for God's comfort. Lynn was a great friend to me and it was my pleasure to get to work with him and meet Dorothy,"Maw and Paw". Many many great memories of time spent with Lynn as we traveled Texas together servicing SWB and sharing so many laughs. I will never forget all the times he told our customers that I didn't know "come on from sickem". Lynn was a man of integrity with a smile I will never forget. Take care Maw....your friend JD.
