Tio Reuben I will never forget how special you always made me feel. I remember if someone would ask you if you had a name for your animals yet you would always say no no, I'm waiting for Gaby to come and name it. It was little things like that that showed how much you loved me! I'll also miss you reminding me of our little inside joke... After each time you said it (which was everytime I saw you) you would always say "That's how I know that little Gaby loves me." Then you would give me a big hug. I'll miss those big hugs so much. You made my childhood different from all the rest of the kids. Thank you for that. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to have a little bit of cowgirl in me. I also wouldn't have such interesting stories to tell. Remember Bomber? To this day I still tell my friends about my crazy dog Bomber and about the crazy Shar Pei too. You always wanted to be the cool uncle, and trust me, you succeeded! I always talk about my Cool Uncle Tio Reuben. You were an amazing, brilliant, funny, and COOL human being. I love you and I will miss you so much.

Oh my gosh!! I am so sad to see a wonderful person gone. Dr. Isern saved my life in 1996. I then went to work for him until I was severely burnt in 2000. He was a wonderful man and great dr. He was always concerned about my heatlh. It saddens my heart to know that he is no longer with us. Yvette, Please accept my condolence. My prayers are with you. love Emily

Dear Yvette, We are fortunate to have known fine people such as you and your husband. Although no words can really help to ease the loss of your brother; may your hope in Christ comfort you!

My thoughts are with you Isel and all of the Isern family for your loss. Reuban was such a beautiful soul and a unique spirit, he had the uncanny abillity to touch the life of so many as he did mine. His love for life, family the animals, yes all the animals and nature... were so inspiring . His words of wisdom will stay with me forever .

Reuben was not only my doctor, he was my friend. He took care of me for 20 years. He showed so much genuine concern for my health, and my friendship. At one time, I had gotten so much better, he said, "You know you are doing so well, you really don't have to come in as often." I told him I would continue to come because I just enjoyed seeing him. He smiled and hugged me. We shared a love of motorcycles and we always had to talk about riding before we could get started with my appointment. He told me so many stories and I loved everyone of them. We always talked about getting together and going for a long ride. I regret that we never got around to doing that. I feel very priviledged to have had him as my doctor, and known him as my friend. I, and many others, loved him so very much. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sorrowful time.

My Dear Friend:
I am so sad to learn of your passing. It seems God takes the "good ones" too often. We worked together in Orange for many years. I learned much about you & your wonderful family during our working hours. Your Dad would come visit some. He was so delightful. He loved his farm in north Vidor as well as you. There was always something he would say as he visited you & watched you see your patients and share their illnesses. You were indeed one of a kind.
I am praying for your family. I share their hurt & pray God's blessings on each person whose hearts are broken from loosing you Dr. Isern.
