My Dad, Slim Lowe, and J. D. were buddies. I well remember going to he and Lil's house one night when I was still a youngster and we had turtle stew. It was yummy! The last time I can remember seeing J. D. was in 1981 at my Dad's funeral. Rest in peace, J. D., in the happy hunting grounds.

If ever daddy had a friend, J D was his friend. After mom and daddy retired and went to East Texas, he would visit with them all the time. Many world problems was solved on their back porch! He was loved dearly by all his gals at the VFW. He would dance the night away and have a ball. Never a dull moment with him and daddy. Those are sweet memories that are dear to me. Fishing was his day job but dancing was his
night time job.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, he will be missed!
Forever friends,
