This is an occasion when words are so inadequate to express the loss my family and I feel at the news of Bro. Cardwell's passing to the next life. We first met when he preached powerful, anointed messages in Buford. From our stewardship seminar at his church in McComb and two others later in Dequincy Bro. Cardwell has consistently proven his Christ-like passion for his family and the church family he pastored. Few men achieve such balance between vision and management to accomplish great things in God's kingdom. He was a conscientious steward of the gospel, finances, and time. My family will never forget our last seminar in Dequincy when Bro. Cardwell again went out of his way to go into the marshes challenging gators and teaching my kids and I how to go crabbing. We mourn the agonizing loss of a strong, caring leader of integrity from our apostolic ranks, but will find peace in the assurance of God's wisdom and hope in knowing we will meet again when this life is done. The Mayers love the Cardwell family and the church in Dequincy.

Brother Cardwell's messages he preached in Buford Ga. during our first Revival have been an inspiration to my wife and I to this day. I often remember his message "Don't miss your cloud" and his encouraging words like, "Your thumbody to God", and " When your down to nothing God is Up to Something", What a great testimony to be a Friend of God.
