We all have our own special "Barker" stories and memories. He was truly one of a kind. He will definitely be missed by all of us who were lucky enough to be his friend.

There are no words that can express the feelings of loss of a lifetime friend and classmate. Kathy, Jon, and David; I will miss my friend and I want you to know that y'all will be in my prayers and thoughts as you go through this.

Having been raised with Paul, he was very near and dear to my heart - many years we spent on the back pews of Central Baptist Church with Glen Taylor, Lee Baxter and others. I will never forget his sweet smile and great sense of humor - nobody had a more infectious laugh. I am so sorry for your loss and that of all of us who knew him.

Dear Cathy and family,
We are so saddened to hear of your loss...no.. all of our loss. Paul was the most rock hard stand his ground person, tell it like it was, but then to smooth it over with friendship. He loved his family, friends, but his devotion to work always came first. He was the best or if he wasn't he tried to make it at anything he did. I do not know what has caused for this man to leave this earth but he must have held his head high met it head on, look out God he is headed to the Promise land! It seems like yesterday that we were last with Paul.
We believe that the memories of good times with true friends endure,forever. God bless the family and friends.

Paul was a fraternity brother and good friend of mine at ULM (then "Northeast"). I really missed seeing him for most of the time since then. This is sad news. Great guy! My best to the family.

He was one of the funniest KA Brothers that we had. I am saddened by his passing and will miss the laughter. I will meet him again on the other side. Brother Savage
