Knowing 'Uncle' Denver brought a special joy to my life. Wish were more like him in this world! His passing leaves a huge void in the lives of all who lives had been blessed by knowing him!

Always a smile and firm handshake. Every the true gentleman and example for all of us "young" scout leaders. Denver orchestrated my first trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1978. He had all of the 135 members of the Three Rivers Council Contingent meet at the Tooth Ridge Camp. I will always remember him standing on a tall rock getting us lined up to hike down to the base camp in one long line. He looked like Moses delivering the tablets. It was an impressive site. What a fine man.

Denver went to South Park High School with my mother, Mary Ann Breaux Hill & was a very dear friend to me. He always had work for us to do when we were in need & always had a kind heart & a kind word. He always brightened my world every time I saw him. He was such an inspiration to me. Now he is in heaven with God & his angels brightening their world, but I know that he will always be here with us watching over us. Denver, you were a wonderful man & I am honored that I was blessed to have known you. You will be dearly missed. My condolences to Gwen & the family. You will be in my prayers.

You are a great inspiration to me. You were hugely formative in my early adulthood and all those days at the lake. You , and others, showed me what it means to be a man. I thank you. I look forward to gathering with family and friends Wednesday evening. I'll never forget you, Denver.
Thanks,
A grateful friend Rick Beale

Gwen and family It was sad to hear about the passing of Denver. It was always a treat to see him in Van Horn with Uncle Clayton. My dad (Raymond McDonald} always spoke highly of Denver and we all enjoyed him very much. Our prayers are with you during this hard time. Denver will be missed by everyone and not forgotten.
