Willie Mae (Billie) Wilson

My sincerest condolences go to the family. What a wonderful, loving, and kindred spirit Mrs. Wilson was.

Mrs. Wilson was my third grade teacher at Lee Elementary in 1986. She helped shape the person I would become, and I will forever be grateful to God for sending such a force of pure love and kindness so early in my life.

I was Mrs. Wilson's "teacher's pet," as the other students would tease, and I reveled in the title. She used to let me grade papers, but perhaps more telling of her openness and kindness, she gave me a glimpse of her personal life as well: she would drive me around to pick up school supplies and afterwards, we would pick up McDonald's. I recall even coming over to her house and asking who the "guy the the picture was." It was her late husband, and though I don't recall what she said exactly, I do remember a look of warmth and love for as her reaction.

Regrettably, I am signing this guest book well past her date of expiration. I would like the family to know Mrs. Wilson's loving reach extends to many, and for me personally, that reach and her special legacy will have a lasting impact in my life forever.

Pat, Brad and Hope I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a fantastic lady. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.

My heart is so sad today after learning of Billie's death. What a dear friend she was! I will alway cherish the fond memories that I have of her and the good times that we shared over the years. My deepest condolences to Hope, Brad and Pat and the rest of her family.

So your mother, sister, grandmother, friend, etc. will have a chance of living forever on earth. A promise from God.
