Sigh. It's really hard to put into words how special a dear friend is, especially one like James. Those nineteen days he spent here in Farmerville during Hurricane Rita are memories that we still cherish, still smile about, still feel the impact of a Godly man in our home. Then the frequent phone calls....usually asking us to join with him in prayer for some request.... The world has definitely lost one of its best. And the many good laughs still echo, too--like his super-size Jif sandwiches, calling Dennis an "ol' Buzzard", and I always knew that if I ever had any trouble with Dennis, James was on my side and would straighten him out in a heartbeat! :D Carolyn, Cherise, Michele, Jana, Melba, and Babe our prayers are with you all. You are so precious to us. May God be with you and keep you close. Love, Kathy & Dennis Patterson

So sorry about Mr. Ward's passing. He was always very kind and patient...especially when I was a little girl and came over for sleepovers with Jana! I know he will be missed.

Our Condolences to Carolyn, Melba, Margaret and all the family. James, my 1st cousin was about the same age as my sister, Joyce. They were 10 years older than I am so I didn't spend a lot of time with him. I will always remember that on one visit to Aunt Mae's and Uncle Elmer's, he gave me my first BB gun. Now that was very special to me. I know that he was a very good person and will be missed.
Love, Jon and Sylvia Barker

Carolyn and Family,
We are sorry to learn of James' passing. James could say 'Hey Girl' like no one else when he called and you answered the phone. James was a sweetheart of a guy and one of my favorite cousins. He always had great stories to tell, and was so kind/caring. One of my favorite pictures of James was at the family reunions on Rusty's Run where he and Phil were wearing their aprons. I think they were frying fish for everyone. We will be praying for you today and in the weeks to come. Theresa & Tom Peoples
