Frank, The impact you've had on my life can't be put in words. So I'll try to paint it. It might take a lifetime, so keep looking over my shoulder now and then.

Frank - how dare you go off and leave us like this! You know you can neither be replaced nor forgotten. You Scamp you! I haven't heard all the great stories that I know you still haven't told! Have a safe and fearless journey and say hello to those we love when they meet you at the great Gates! Farewell my Friend!!

I had the honor of having Frank as a frequent patient, what started out as a patient/caregiver relationship blossomed into a solid friendship. Frank was abrubt, cantankerous, and demanding and I would have not had it any other way. So I bid farewell to my friend and look forward to seeing your splendid art work in the night time skies.

So sorry to here of Frank's passing. He was my teacher at Forest Park High School--Arts & Crafts class 1978-1979. He was sooo special, he helped me through a most difficult time after losing my father, even coming to my home to talk to me and my mom during my most difficult time, (back in a time when a teacher could actually show an interest in a student and care without accusations of impropriety) I will never forget him, he helped me greatly, and I was glad to visit him again some years later to let him know I was doing fine, I think he enjoyed the visit. I wish I had gotten in touch with him again as I have thought about him often through the years and hope he enjoyed a full life. My heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends, I will always have a special place in my heart for my Mr Garrietts. Rest in peace and paint the rainbows beautiful. Love Nancy Dry

Dear Lisa You lost your Dad, I lost one of my best friends and the world lost a great talent. You are a wonderful daughter. Thank you for all your caregiving you provided to my dear friend in his final months. I know it wasn't easy. Love, Paul and Shirley

Lisa, So sorry for your loss. The world is a less colorful place without your Dad. He was an amazing teacher/friend to so many people. He not only taught art, he taught life. I hated everything about High School, I know he is what kept me going. He also taught me one of lifes most valuable lessons,"Don't drink the water in Mexico." I will miss him.

With deepest sympathy to family and friends of Frank. There is no one that can fill his shoes, or hold his paintbrush. A truly great friend, with a teacher's heart. He will be greatly missed. Sincerely, Cecilia M. Pippin
