We are so sorry we could not be there to celebrate Red's life with you. Red was an amazing man who taught us ( my brothers & me ) so much about perseverance, dedication, & the opportunity to have fun.His Love for his sister Myrt & the friendship he bestowed on my Father will resonate forever His love for my family will be forever cherished!!! As the Irish say, the wind will continually follow the good ones. God Bless Bonnie, Sandy & Gwen in their loss, but the Lord just acquired another Special Angel.

The service was really special and so many friends and family to share in your grief. Gwen's husband did a really great job and so did the grandkids. My daddy always looked forward to going somewhere when Red was going to be there. He really admired him a lot. Red was just two days older than my mom, Irble Gordey. Our hearts are with you as you face the days to come, but know that he is at peace.

Love and condolences to all from Caroline, Ginny, and me. I remember fondly Uncle Red's explanation of the difference between second cousins and first cousins, once removed.

To the Callihan Family: My name is Tiffany Hext Nickles. My Dad was Joseph "Joe" Hext. He and "Callihan", as my Dad called him, worked at Entex together for many years!!! My Dad thought very highly of him, and I remember him from running around at Entex when I was a small child. My deepest sympathy to each of you during this time of loss. I well imagine my Dad was there to welcome his old friend home. Prayers for comfort and peace.

I mentioned Uncle Red to some friends just this past Memorial Day... I never knew him when his hair was still red, but he was a character from my youth I will never forget. Sandy, Gwen, and Aunt Bonnie please know you are in our thoughts and prayers here in Austin.
